Going PRO.

This past season, we were thrilled to bring to market a completely new sort of product.  At first glance, the PRO™ line of engine anodes doesn't look a whole lot different from the standard engine anodes you're familiar with.  But a lot of thought, design, and engineering went into making something wholly unique.

Engine anodes are essential in keeping your engine components free of corrosion.  But there is a persistent - and annoying - issue with them.  More often than not, the zinc gets stuck.  This happens for one of two reasons.  As a pencil anode corrodes, it has the tendency to swell, sticking to the cooler wall.  When the service life is up and the anode is ready to be changed, the anode is in a perfect position - to stay put.  The brass cap unthreads from the zinc, leaving a stuck and swollen zinc rod exactly where you don't want it (in the way of a new anode).

The second way an anode gets stuck is, somehow, even more frustrating.  The zinc rod threads directly into its brass cap.  When torque is applied to the cap, it's also directly applied to the zinc rod.  And after breaking down and weakening with use, that brittle zinc is very likely to break.  This is, regrettably, a common issue, one we field questions about all the time.

Enter the PRO's.

The PRO™ design does away with the traditional threaded connection.  Instead, it's retaining ring secures the assembly.  Fully secures, in fact, though it still allows for full 360° rotation between the rod and the plug.  The brass plug will take all of the torque when you go to change your anodes.

No more stuck zincs.

No more broken zincs.

Instead, the anode Pulls Right Out.
